The Blue Hat Ceilidh Band brings together highly skilled dance musicians, who between them have amassed a huge amount of experience of playing for ceilidhs in the North East of England and throughout the UK. Our home turf covers Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders.

Our caller combines humour and a great sense of fun with an extensive knowledge of ceilidh dancing, built up over many years of calling for various bands and dance clubs.

We had an amazing ceilidh because of you guys and couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how great you were the morning after. You got everyone involved from the youngest guest (2 years old) to some of the oldest in their late 80s.
